Cannon Week 6

 





For this week's update, I finished the ZBrush sculpt, the alpha, and started my uving. I'm still in the catchup zone, but I'm closing in on the goal.

VR Project Week 5

 



For this week's VR Submission, I created the High Poly Thwomph and baked it down onto a low poly version, and then gave it base colors in Substance Painter. I made sure everything is in Perforce and working in Unreal Engine as well.

Cannon Week 5

 





Cannon Week 5 update.
I'm still a little behind, but I'm almost caught up. I have no more time before tonight's turnin, but I may try to resubmit in a couple hours as I am now ready to import into ZBrush and sculpt it down. Then retopology, and sculpting on my environment. Wish me luck.

Cannon Week 4

 





This week I am running a little behind. After importing my uprezed mesh into ZBrush and beginning to sculpt, I realized that some of the detailwork for this model would be easier to handle in Maya, and that I should return to ZBrush for some of the finer detail work. I will update this post as I go, and hope to catch up quickly. Once I am done adding additional medium details to the body of the cannon, I will bring it back into ZBrush for wear and tear. 

VR Project Week 3

 





This week, I worked on the Bobomb final textures and texture variations, and made a couple decorative cubes as well, using Maya and Substance Painter.

Cannon Week 3 Uprez

 





This week, I uprezed the cannon and imported it into ZBrush. In ZBrush, I updated the names and combined components, and separated them into folders. This update is a little different from the previous week, as I reduced the square footage of the surrounding environment and removed some elements. I UVd the high-proxy to reacquaint myself with the UVing tools, however I will be re-uving the cannon once the gamerez mesh is complete as there are still a few adjustments I want to make during sculpting.

VR Project Week 2

 







For week two of the VR project, I brought Bobomb into ZBrush and rounded him out, and gave him a few small details. I then made his gamerez, which is 6700 tris, and gave him a first pass at texture in Substance Painter. I also imported him into Unreal and Perforce, and adjusted his material so that it wouldn't be too shiny.
